Guide for becoming a member of our crew / core team

The Crew

If you want to become a more active member in CorrelAid Netherlands, consider joining the crew, which is our core team of volunteers who help run the organisation.

As a crew member, you can get involved in:

• reaching out to non-profits for collaboration;

• scoping new data for good projects;

• managing internal systems and tools;

• organising community events.

You will find more crew roles on our Vacancies page. We are always really happy to welcome new crew members!

Crew Onboarding

On top of the general onboarding, there are some additional steps upon joining the crew.

• Sign a volunteer agreement.

• Request a correlaid.nl email address giving you access to our shared Google Workspace including our drive.

• Join our GitHub organisation. This is optional if you are not working on technical or website related tasks.

• Join the Slack #crew channel where we coordinate most of our work and share updates.

• Attend our weekly stand-up call on Monday afternoons.

• Join for our monthly in-person crew session on the 2nd Sunday of the month to connect and collaborate in person.

• Pick at least one area of interest to focus on, such as npo engagement, community or infrastructure.
